Access to quality education is essential for a better future. However, in the slums of Dhaka, Bangladesh, many children have little to no access to proper schooling. That is why Be the Planet Foundation has facilitated the establishment and funding of a slum school in collaboration with the NGO Grameen Shikkha. We are proud to be part of this meaningful initiative.

To better capture the impact of this project, René Mulder (Secretary) and Enamul Bipul from the CSR department of The Sting Companies traveled to Dhaka. They spoke with local residents and witnessed firsthand the urgent need for education. In January 2025, the first class officially began its lessons.

Over the course of five years, these children will receive a strong foundation for further education. The school, located in a modest space in the heart of the slum, is co-managed by individuals who grew up in this very environment. Through Grameen Shikkha, they are dedicated to keeping the school running and providing structured education.

With this financial support, Be the Planet Foundation is not only providing knowledge through education but also offering these children a brighter future. By empowering them with learning opportunities, we are giving them the chance to break free from the cycle of poverty.
