In December 2024, 3FM’s ‘Glazen Huis’ focused on Metakids, a foundation supporting children with metabolic disorders.

Our metabolism is what enables the body to produce energy; to move, to learn, to work, and simply to live. In children with a metabolic disease, this process doesn’t function properly. They suffer from a severe lack of energy and often experience damage caused by unprocessed waste in their bodies. It’s a debilitating and often fatal condition, and in most cases, there is still no treatment available.

With sufficient research and funding, treatments can be developed that truly save children's lives. As the Be the Planet Foundation, we are proud to contribute to that mission. Not only because we believe in supporting important causes, but also because this specific theme personally affects colleagues within The Sting Companies.

The Be the Planet Foundation has donated €5,000 to Metakids. With this contribution, we hope to support a future where every child gets the chance to simply be a child; to play, to dream, and to live.
