Update Samir and Samira

Samir (6) and Samira (7) live in the slums of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Together with 48 other children, they attend a slum school made possible in part by the financial support of the Be the Planet Foundation.
For many children in this community, this is their only chance at receiving an education — and with it, a better future.

The first school term has now been completed with promising results. All students achieved good grades, and Samir and Samira are among the top of their class — both finishing at the very top.

In recent photos, Samir is seen with his mother, and Samira with her brother. The images show both the modest living conditions and the pride with which they display their homework: carefully written and neatly presented.

Despite the challenges they face daily, Samir and Samira demonstrate the true value of education. Their dedication and achievements are an inspiring example of what’s made possible through the slum school — and through the ongoing support of the Be the Planet Foundation.
